I've got an Umbraco installation (v. 7.12.4) that has a pretty large Media section with about 150k media and several hundred folders.
No matter the location, whenever I try to create a new folder from the back office it takes 1-2 minutes to get done. What's strange is that if I try to add more folders right afterwards, they get created in an instant.
I've got a development installation with roughly the same number of media (yes, the client used it to upload stuff while the site was in development) and tested it both there and on the live site - same behavior.
I suspect there's something being loaded there that is cached afterwards - but can't figure out what. Any hints? (My own code does cache stuff but only on front-end calls and is not doing anything weird during application startup).
