I have an issue where, I bulk uploading files, which works fine. But if I try to update a file, I remove the file and add a new one, it fails. I'm not sure why one would work and not the other. In the console I'm seeing a 500 error on the postSave method.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

    Hi Jim,

Just so we are on the same track...

You can bulk upload images fine?

But if you select one of those image that you have just bulk uploaded and try to update the actual image file, it is failing correct?

    Thanks

    Craig

That is correct! I can delete the file, but when I go to reload a new file, it fails.

    Hi Jim,

    That is rather strange...

What version of Umbraco are you running?

Is there anything in the Logs for the time when it is failing etc.?

FYI: I have tried to replicate this issue using an Umbraco installation on my server (v7.7.4) and I can bulk upload and then remove and re-upload new images without any issues.

    Thanks

    Craig

Umbraco version 7.13 and I also was running 7.7 before and upgrade that was doing the same thing. It's on a load-balanced environment but it seemed strange that it would bulk upload and not throw the same errors if that was the culprit.

I have a local build functioning correctly as well.

I've triple-checked permissions on folders so I don't THINK that's it. But it certainly feels like a permissions issue.

I'll see if I can dig up some errors!
