We want to replicate something on our old site, a gallery of application icons. These are large round "buttons" used to go to various applications in the site.

I am playing with the Gallery doc type which so far seems better than using a fixed grid. I haven't figured out how to add some padding between the items. Also, how do I get the caption to display below the icon/image instead of over it?

And the hardest part, how can I hide/show these icons based on user permissions? Only certain users can see an app's icon and access the app.
