    Error deleting member group

    Hi there,

    I am experiencing troubles when trying to delete a member group:

    The member group gets not deleted.

    Weird thing is, that under App_Data/Logs the UmbracoTraceLog file is not modified today, so nothing gets written in it.

    Umbraco version 7.14.0 assembly: 1.0.7009.26199

    Any ideas?

    Did you make sure that the role isn't in use by any members ?

    Hi Tarik,

    thanks for your reply. I am not trying to delete a user group, but a member group. But it seems to be the same behaviour. Only groups with no members assigned can be deleted.

    This is an awkward situation because I have about 1700 members that can be members in about 30 member groups and I cannot even sort members by goups.

    Dead End.... I think I will have to try to handle it via a webservice. Unless anyone has a better idea?

    I mean member group and you mentioned it too in the first post, I suggest UGardian plugin I created which doesn't have filter by role working yet on the current live package but I have it working on my local machine.

    In case you want the plugin to have a V7 version, I suggest that you open a ticket on the plugin forum or in pagure.

    Hi Tarik,

    mea culpa! You are absolutely right, you mentioned "members". Those who can read have a clear advantage :)

    UGardian looks like a neat plugin. I have placed a comment in your plugin forum regarding V7 compatibility.
