I've been searching for some form of description that describes the process with respect to what happens when content is saved in the back office, and it's journey from there to IPublishedContent in Umbraco 7 and 8, if 8 is any different.
I am aware of certain things like the back office using an Angular v1 API, but my knowledge is a bit gappy. For example, let's say I type content into an RTE in a particular doc type and click save, what would be the process all the way up to the point when I am casting an IPublishedContent object to a strongly typed model in my Razor view. Additionally I am using an SQL database with my Umbraco site, so if the example could consider that.
