    Missing translation strings in back office

    Would anyone know what this happens to some of my users?

    If I open config/Lang/en-US.xml it only contains

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<language>
</language>

    Seems to be happening in Umbraco 8.1.. Got it too

    In my case it was a problem with Language being blank under user profile. Selecting a language resolved this issue.

    I'm having the same issues here, I've redownloaded the lang files from

    https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/tree/7ee510ed386495120666a78c61497f58ff05de8f/src/Umbraco.Web.UI/umbraco/config/lang

    and the user is set to English US, but nothing is translated, even the login panel.
