    Hello all!

Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I'm relatively new to Umbraco and looking to get to grips with the right upgrade workflow.

The site has around 500 daily visitors, which sells tickets to their attraction. Any downtime is costly.

Everything has been fine, but updating the site throws a few errors locally (and not great error messages either). So surely I'm doing something wrong.

    Here's what I've been doing:

    1. Download update (7.14 in this case)
    2. Copy bin, Umbraco & umbraco_client over
    3. Merge web.config in root and views folder.
    4. Reload site.

4/5 times this has errored into oblivion, so I'm very cautious about pushing the updates to live yet.

Any tips would be much appreciated!

TL;DR: I keep getting errors when updating, so what's your go-to upgrade workflow?

EDIT: Locally im running IIS Express on VS Code with an MSSQL DB (2017).
