    Page loading speed on CMS

    Hello. I'm experiencing very slow loading speed on the CMS, sometimes the page even times out and refuses to load. Any idea what is causing this? Will it have anything to do with the server it's on?

    Hoping someone can help as it's taking eons just to make simple amendments.

    Hi Dawn,

    Please provide some more information so people can offer proper suggestions.

    Are you experiencing this issue only in the umbraco backoffice? Or does your frontend have the same issue?

    It of course could be related with your server but this is hard to tell due to lack of information about your setup and configuration.

    Is this a plain umbraco instance, are you running external or custom code which could be related to the speed issue?

    Have you tried running any pagespeed tools to find out why the page is slow, like Googles Lighthouse or Pingdom? What do they say?
