We are using language variants but it appears to be missing 2 very important features:
You cannot change the language once it's set. This has proved to be very problematic.
You cannot duplicate the content and images of a site into a new variant which would solve point 1 and also allow us to easily create English variants of the site for USA and Oz as will as UK
