    Umbraco Webshop

Hi i am trying to create a webshop and was hoping i could do so using umbraco, but i have some criteria and i am not sure if umbraco meets them, they are:

It needs to communicate with(send data to) a mysql database.

support some kind of digital marketing e.g google analytics.

    payments preferably handled through stripe.

Hoping it is possible, but it would be great if someone could confirm that it is

    Kind Regards

    Marcus

    Hi Marcus

Umbraco can be used in the combination with some Webshop package. There are a few:

    1) Teacommerce - https://teacommerce.net/

    2) Merch from uSkinned - https://uskinned.net/themes/merch/

    3) Merchello - https://our.umbraco.com/packages/collaboration/merchello/

    4) uCommerce

    Thanks, Alex

    Hi Alex

Thanks for your answer, but i am still unsure if it is possible for an umbraco website to send/receive data to/from a MySql database?

    Could you clarify?

as Sebastiaan said - MySQL support always worked but in a limited way (case insensitive only) and plugins almost never supported it. Significant amounts of time had to be spent on maintenance. Umbraco works best with SQL servers and we'll spend our time and efforts there instead.
