Got to work this morning to a report that the contact us page was missing from the site. In the back office it showed as unpublished. Publishing it made it appear again.
However the activity logs for that content item in the UI (under the Info tab) show no record of it being unpublished and in fact its not been edited for 6 months. So why has it become unpublished?
I have noticed this kind of issue earlier when umbraco cache file reverts back to old version. Please can you stop the IIS service and restart so that you cache is built from fresh.
Also ensure read/write permission is available to App_Data folder.
