I have a v8 extranet site, if index folders in app_data are deleted then site restarted then all 3 indexes do not fully rebuild. After load if you rebuild through backoffice everything rebuilds fine.
I have checked through logs and no errors. I should get 200 documents in the external index however i only get about 39. Weird thing is when i look in luke i see that quite a few of those items are deleted, if in luke i optimise index it removes those.
This only seems to happen with this one site. Not sure why its really weird.

I fiddled with ignoring Folder types from the media section and I get nothing in the index. It seems as though on startup the only thing it can get to its folders in the media section.

Do you have attached to Gathering Data event on this index?
