    Umbraco8 Usync fails to import Templates?

    Using Umbraco And Getting Started
    Umbraco 8

    Hi,

    I'm having an issue with Usync, I have the following;

    Website A with uSync and Content Edition Website B with uSync and Content Edition

    Website B was a blank install, and I copied over everything from website A and run the import. uSync completes and everything else imports nicely. However it fails on the Templates with below error;

    Import fail: Access to Path is denied.....

    How can everything else import fine and have access apart from templates?

    Hi Matt,

    for templates uSync imports the bit that goes into the DB, but to do that it also needs access to the files in the views folder.

    You need to ensure the templates in the views folder are copied over, and it looks like from that error there is a permissions issue with that?

    uSync will be running under the account of the Website in IIS if for some reason that's not gotten access to the view folder it might throw that error.
