On saving a particular template the umbraco backend hangs. Checking the chrome developer tools I am getting an error a 403 on the call:
POST /umbraco/RestServices/SaveFile/SaveTemplate
It seem to be able to save other templates in the tree ok.
If anyone else has this issue, this problem appears to be related to the url on which you access the Umbraco backend. I had a umbraco instance on:
example1.com/umbraco which served to sites with domains set up in the "culture and hostnames" section e.g example2.com and example3.com.
if I entered the umbraco backend vis these urls e.g example2.com/umbraco I got this error. Switching back to example1.com/umbraco allowed me to save
