We need to get a site up and running soon. We're pretty certain to avoid v7 until it settles down a bit, and also partly due to limitations in our hosting infrastructure. We can't afford to have unexpected errors when we demonstrate it to management.

I've been advised by someone that version 4.11.10 may actually be the best bet as it's the stablest version, is a lot tidier under the hood than v6 and has more compatible packages. Does anyone else share that opinion?

Also, will it make much difference in upgrading to v 7 some time in the future if we go with 4 or 6?
