According to the package page it should work fine on 7.8 - and some users also seem to have it working on Umbraco 7.10 - But it's hard to tell from these statistics on the package page really.
If you're up for it I'll suggest that you setup a fresh install of Umbraco 7.11 with the sole purpose of testing the package without touching your current installation so you're sure that you won't accidentally break something.
