    Analytics won't open

    Hey,

    When I downloaded and installed the Analytics package into my Umbraco 7.26 installation, I get the welcome page from Analytics. However, when I click the "Open Analytics for Umbraco" button, it redirects me to the Content panel instead on the Analytics settings panel.

    Is there a way to solve this issue?

    Hello Paulo,
    This may be a minor bug that I need to look into & resolve this.

    However you can easily get to the section by doing the following:

    • Goto the Users section
    • Find User you wish to have access
    • Check the Analytics checkbox to grant access
    • Save the change
    • Refresh your browser to see the new section appear
    • Alternatively log out & back in to see this
    • Repeat for each user as necessary

    Warren,

    Thank you for the speedy response. After installing the 1.2 version of Analytics, for some reason, the Analytics checkbox does not appear in the User section for every user. However, I tried going down a version to 1.1 and installed it. Then, I pressed the "Open Analytics for Umbraco" button and that didn't work either.

    However, when I reinstalled the version 1.1 again and didnt press the "Open Analytics for Umbraco" button, I saw the Analytics Icon on my ribbon and just went there directly and it worked.

    I dont know why that is, but I thought it was worth noting.

    Hmm that is very odd Paulo, as you should definitely be able to add/select that section to your allowed sections.

    What version of Umbraco are you using and any other details you can give me about the setup please.

    My Umbraco setup is just default. It's the latest version 7.26. It's running on my local machine and I just recently started adding pages to the CMS.

    Hmm that is very odd.

    The dashboard link to open new section is obviously a bug I need to fix. However I did test this on Umbraco 7.2.6 on my local machine & was able to select the section for my backoffice user.

    Would you mind trying again please?
