    Child node is not published unless parent is published, notification always show success.

    Hi,

    If there is a scenario where parent and child nodes are not published. In the package all nodes are shown at same level in approve it. So if someone just publishes the child node, notification shows success, but I have checked if unpublished parent is there, child node remains unpublished. Which is correct in some way, but my suggestion is the notification should show this.

    Or else the unpublished content should be shown in hierarchy as in content tab where approver can relate the content which is needed to be approved.

    Sorry but I dind't notice this thread until now... Anyway, thanks for the input, I'm going to include a solution to this problem on a next release.

    Hi Chaitanya,

    I'm not able to reproduce this issue. This is what I have:

    • Umbraco v7.3.1 with Txt Starter Kit
    • Make changes to the News parent node and two of its children and submit them for approval Sent for approval
    • Publish "You really need to read this" node through approve it Approve node through approve it
    • Confirm that the child node was published Node was published

    Am I doing anything different?
