Odd publishing issue - wrong tab after save and publish
Hi Tim!
After some investigation, i think i have finally tracked down the origin of an odd issue to the Tab Hider package:
The problem occurs when you are logged in to the Umbraco Backoffice with a user of any other usertype than 'Administrator'.
After a 'save and publish' on any document - you always end up on the first tab - even if you clicked the 'save and publish' standing on one of the other tabs e.g. 'properties'.
The problem occurs on many solutions and accross several Umbaco versions (4.7.1 -> 4.11.8).
The problem is only present when the Tab Hider package is installed.
I'll have a look into that for you, I've got a pretty good idea what might be causing the issue. I'm off over Christmas, and I'm planning on updating a few of my packages for v6/7, so I'll try and get this sorted at the same time :)
You think that it could be fixed, so that the fix will work on 4.7+ versions of Umbraco? Or are you just planning on implementing the fix on v6 and v7?
I've isolated the issue over Christmas, and I have a fix coded, I'm just testing it at the moment (I've been away Snowboarding since New Years, so I'm a bit behind). Once I'm happy that it's working, I'll get an update out that will work for 4 - 6. The v7 version may take slightly longer!
Can you guys give this slightly updated version of the tab hider a go? It should fix the issue that you're getting with it jumping to the wrong tab. If it works for you guys as well, I'll do a release ASAP! Archive with replacement DLL here. Apologies again for the delay, the house move and baby have been eating up most of my free time!

That would be very nice Tim :)

Hi Tim
That sound awesome :)
Looking forward to the fix.
Sounds great that it will work on v4 as well, that's where I have the problem, so that's just perfect :)
You rock!

Hi Tim
Any case that there's any news on the fix regarding the tabs? :)

Hi Kim,
Sorry, my daughter put in an early appearance and that's been eating up my time! I'll try and get the fix for this out this week if possible!
Ahh, no worries Tim. I know what you are talking about. Been in the same situation.
I hope everyone is okay? And congratilations on the little girl :)
