Tab Hider Not working on Umbraco 6.2.4

    Hello Tim,

I tried the package in Umbraco version 6.2.4, it doesn't seems to work in this version. Do we need some special change for u6.2.4?

    Thanks,

    With Regards

    Tri Mandir Prajapati.

    Hi Tri

Please don't double post - It creates too much noice and can lead to unwanted confusion :) http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/attackmonkey-tab-hider/bugs,-feedback-feature-requests/46630-umbraco-6-?p=0#comment206143

That being said, I think that perhaps something has changed in the underlying API since Umbraco 6.1 and 6.2 versions, which could be the cause why this package is not working out of the box in v6.2.4.

But on the package page it does also only claim to support up to Umbraco 6.1.x.

Do you get any error messages when using the package? Are there any clues in the console log of the browser? Anything related in the /App_Data/Logs file?

    /Jan

    Hey Jan,

Sorry for the double post, the reason there is.. just want to separate my post :). Anyways, it does work for 6.2.4. The confusion created there was for the Administrator. I was just trying to hide the tab for the admin also, that's why it was not working. I came to know this when I went through the code in the codeplex. But no problem for now, it is ok for hiding the tab for writer and editor. It is enough for me now.

So, we can update the package to be compatible with 6.2.4 also. I tested is successfully :P

    I appreciate the package :)

    With Regards

    Tri

    Hi Tri

Ok, then you can actually report it to be compatible with Umbraco 6.2.4 here http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/attackmonkey-tab-hider :)

    /Jan
