I uninstalled an earlier version and it took some web dll off with it. That proceeded to blow up my site. No wrries put it back and it was fine. Installed version 2 and I thought I had another icon after the user icon in the backoffice. It disappeared, I installed again and now I have 2 packages listed in my installed packages folder, yet still no themes icon. What did I do?
I'm affraid I haven't been able to find the location to "enable" it yet. :-( I assume it would be in the Users > Users > "My User" > Check box area for Sections. Everything is checked, but I see no "Themes" only (content, developer, media, members, settings, users)
Have you installed the latest version... is there a themes tree in the settings.. if so you have the older version.
If you have installed the latest version, you will have to enable the section under User (be sure to refresh the UI).. if it's not there, then try reinstalling... If that doesn't work then you have bigger problems with your setup. :(
@Daniel - Well I have version 2.0 Installed. I reninstalled the package today but no luck. I have included a screen shot of my settings tree below to show that there is no themes section available there, which is to be expected.
So then I go to the Users section, select my username and only see the options shown below
I am however running the latest version of Umbraco (v 4.7.0). Is this package not compatible?
Ok, so I figured out what the issue was.... Umbraco was installed by my IT guy.. his initial user that he set up must be a Super Admin. Both of our user accounts have the user type of "administrator", however only his had the ability to see your [themes] check box. What is the deal with that? Can there only be one Super Admin?
On a possitive note.. I am loving your themes now! thanks for posting them
Where is my theme button? Uninstall woes

Make sure you give yourself rights to see the section under Users
You should really add that instruction to the install routine! I just spent too long finding out that I needed to "enable" it ;-)
Will do.. I have a tendency to assume that's common knowledge, but I've been in umbraco land for awhile... my bad.

Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks

I tested it on 4.7 without issue. You should see a [themes] section under user if it was correct.
Looks like the database doesn't have the app record.
Touch the web.config and see what happens.

there is 1 "admin" that no other administrator can edit although several users can be in the administrator group.
I'm very happy when people like what I develop. Don't hesitate to offer suggestions.
is working on a reply...
