A really cool addition would be to enable specified User types to have access to administer specified Category branches via the Content node of the Content section. This would avoid the need to give site editors access to the Settings section. Obviously this should be disabled by default.

There is now a version of the package which puts the Categories tree in it's own section. Feel free to test it out and let me know how you get on.
