Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you, as I haven't tested out Contentment (or even Umbraco) on a Linux based OS yet. (Not sure I know the simplest way to start with it).
In terms of the .NET cultures, I'm wondering if Umbraco's Languages tree (in the Settings section) works for you? As in the dropdown that lists all the cultures/languages. If that throws a similar error, that could be a problem.
No I don't have any problems with the Culture and Languages.
I believe it could be a Linux issue because all references are case sensitive, I experienced it with other packages and also Umbraco Docs do warn about how to name the "lang" file (as example) in linux when creating custom packages.
I just thought that you may know about the issue already, but maybe worth investigating?
.Net Countries Error
Hi Lee
I have an umbraco instance on Mac connected to a cloud aws server on windows. I tried to use the .Net Countries but I get an error:
System.Globalization.CultureNotFoundException: Culture is not supported. (Parameter 'culture')
Is this anything to do with Linux support or could it be a bug?
