Comparison to Umbraco Deploy/Courier/uSync Content Edition, Open Source?
Hi Stuart,
Converge looks like a promising package. It seems somewhat similar to Umbraco Deploy, Umbraco Courier, and uSync Content Edition. What would you say are the main differences as compared to those packages? A few come to mind as possible differences, but I wonder if you had some specific use cases in mind when building this.
Also, I'm curious if it's open source. It seems to be free, but I didn't happen to notice a link to Git or another repo anywhere.
The main use case I envisaged when creating the package was in use for upgrading between major versions of Umbraco using the converters, as explained here. I also liked the idea of the comparison between the sites, which I'm not sure you can do in those other projects (I've only really used Courier some time ago and neither of the other two, so I may be wrong there).
The code isn't public as I want to see where it goes first, but yes it is free.
