I don't know specifically for 7.7, but it has been reported to work with Umbraco 7 - so I would give it a go.
The impact of installing the package is very small, and it can easily be removed. It just contains a DLL file, some views and additions to the dashboards.config file.

Works for me in 7.11 using the fix suggested by Bjarke Petersen https://our.umbraco.com/packages/backoffice-extensions/dictionary-dashboard/feedback/52797-Umbraco-710
you could use settings
if you want the tabs to only show in Settings area.
