    Hi,

I am trying to install DAMP on Umbraco 4.3.11 and am getting an error 'Could not load type 'DigibizAdvancedMediaPicker.Installer'.'. Is anybody able to shed any light on this issue.

Also having upgraded recently to 4.3.11 my 'Installed Packages' tab has disappeared - any ideas?

    Thanks

    Andy

    Hi Andy

What version have you upgraded from? And what steps did you take to upgrade? (Perhaps it's caused by some config files not having been merged properly or something else like that).

    Hi Andy,

I'm guessing DAMP installed fine, but for some reason the post-install usercontrol loaded before the DLL got copied.  Can you check your /bin/ folder to see if Digibiz DLLs are there?  If they are, you should be fine.

Regarding the "Installed Packages" node, my guess is that something happened to your /App_Data/packages/installed/installedPackages.config file - I think if this is missing you'll get that behavior.

    Hi,

I've managed to copy the InstalledPackages.config file back and this has got the 'Installed Packages' menu item back. I've checked the DLL's and the Digibiz DLLs exist but these are from the V1.0 version of DAMP.

    I upgraded from version 4.6.1 via 4.7.0, 4.8.0, 4.9.0, 4.10.0 and finally 4.11.3.

    Hi,

I've just tried installing DAMP on a completly clean install of Umbraco 4.11.3 and experiencing exactly the issue with the "Could not load type 'DigibizAdvancedMediaPicker.Installer'" and no files copied.

Has anybody got any ideas of how to debug this further - could this be a permissions issue (can somebody confirm the permissions for a 4.11.3 install).

I'm also receiving the same error as Andy on 4.11.3 and Samp 2.5.

    Hi,

Should have posted I managed to fix this - check the permissions of your directories - I think it was the bin directory in my case.
