If I setup DAMP with a root folder (RootFolder) with the "Start node Media Picker", and only allow "Folder" in "Allowed Media Types:" to be selectable, I'm only able to select RootFolder on the document - not the subfolders.
I want to be able to select Gallery1 or Gallery2 and not the images. Is that not possible with DAMP? Should I use MNTP instead?
I can't select the galleries. If I open the picker it selects the RootFolder, which I can delete, but it can't select the subfolder. In the picture I only have one gallery though
Hmm and you're sure that the "Katte" is also the Folder media type? Really strange. I'll try to reproduce this. Otherwise I might need to have a look at your site to fix this.
Oh i forgot to say if you create through media , the same error is there.You have to save it , to see the items in damp. So i think this is a bug of umbraco 6 media section. Jeroen can you confirm this ?.
DAMP uses the xml which is stored in the cmsContentXml table. Perhaps it's only there after saving again? It might be related to this issue: http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-1772

I am a broken record here.... something has to change with this project. updates are constantly breaking once working functionality and it is starting to get old.
How do we ( the end users) get the point across that we want a feature freeze and ALL bugs fixed. From that point on, each realease should ONLY be made available after extensive testing. We donwload a new release to fix a bug, only to find out 50 new bugs have arrived and 20 once working features have broken....
I am using 6.0.6 and it is still not fixed... nor is sorting media by dragging the tiles around the screen.
As others have mentioned, going back and "re-saveing" the media folder after it has been created appears to help. In a few cases, I have had to do this several times for the DAMP picker to see it.

Hmm if Gallery1 and Gallery2 are the Folder media type you should be able to select them.

Yep, it's a folder. For now I use MNTP, as it properbly makes more sense.

Is this is a bug. I am experiencing same problem. umbraco v6.0.2 and DAMP 2.5

Its working now :) . Some republish and resaving the doctypes did the magic.
I'm having this issue with DAMP 2.5 and Umbraco 6.0.3 nightly, has anyone been able to find a solution?
I have a temporary solution ,after creating the media items (folder,image...) through damp just go to media and save the items.
So if you create the folder through the DAMP create dialog you can't select it, but if you create it in the media section it does work?

It's an Umbraco bug and should be fixed in 6.0.6 so try that version or 6.0.7.
