Before I submit a bug report on Github, I thought I'd gain opinion here on whether upgrading to DTGE v0.5.0 breaks things for anyone's else?

Having just upgraded from v 0.4.0 to 0.5.0 by installing the latest zip (https://github.com/umco/umbraco-doc-type-grid-editor/releases/tag/0.5.0) as a package via the Umbraco back-office, installed 'over the top' of the existing version, the slide-out right-hand panel no longer appears when I double select any grid module. Clicking a module once allows it to be sorted and deleted, which works, but clicking again just doesn't do anything.

There are no errors in the browser console at all. I've tried deleting all App_Data/Temp files, restarting the application pool, bumping the client dependency number, re-saving the grid property editor and clearing cookies but to no avail. Reverting the upgrade results in it working again.

I'll try to investigate further but just thought I'd raise this in case anyone has encountered the same thing, or if v0.5.0 worked okay for other folks.

    Thanks

    Hi Dan,

There are a number of client-side changes (in the App_Plugins folder, JS/HTML), so was thinking maybe browser caching could be your issue, but bumping the ClientDependency version number should have done the trick.

I tested the upgrade from DTGE v0.4.0 - (on a certain corporate beer website) - which appeared to have worked fine.

I'll take another look, see if there's anything we've missed.
If, in the meantime, any other info comes up, let me know.

    Cheers,
    - Lee

Good to know, cheers! I'll try it again and try a different browser, just to see. Will report back...

Well... second time lucky! I actually used the same browser but did an 'Empty cache and hard reload' and bumped client dependency again at the same time, and that's sorted it. Fantastic!

Thanks for the light-speed reply (and the ace update of course) :)
