Interested in a new version with umbraco design?

    Hi,

I downloaded your source code and played around with it a little, as I had specific wishes for one of my projects.

    This is what I did:

    1. I implemented this example from Tim Geijsens which doesn't use the surface controller for the backend: http://www.nibble.be/?p=250
    2. I removed bootstrap and the ckeditor and implemented the standard umbraco design with its tabs, formfields, panes, speechbubbles and richtext editor loaded directly from the richtext data type.
    3. I edited the event save action so that it saves all descriptions plus the general settings in one go.
    4. And some small changes in among others the location gmap and the delete functionality.
All backend work... Interested? I could send You the source.

    Hey Martin,

sure i'm interested. I would make a new release then with your changes as an alternative for the bootstrap backend.

Maybe we make a new branch for this on github.

    Hi David,

Been out of the air for a while. But I'm ready to send you the stuff.

Because I integrated the section in my own stuff I removed the frontend controller and views and some other stuff.

I renamed some things as well, so it might not be a quick fix for you, Please tell me if it's okay like this, or if you want me to reintegrate it into your original source solution.

    A few things:

    • I changed the Loadtree and task files so that it doesn't duplicate the nodenames when switching back and forth between sections.
    • Important is the route.config file in which I specify the path and the specific paths named in the views. You might read Tims original post on that.
    • I added the UI extensions in separate CS files. See my blog at blog.interactivewebdesign.nl to know how I got there.

Let me hear what you think. If you have any trouble getting it to work, please let me know.

    Download the code here

I could also fork it on github btw... only just thought about that.

    Hi Martin,

will have a look at the source this week and if i'm having trouble than i come back to you. We will see how easy (or not) it is to integrate it.

    David
