I think it is a great package, but I think it would be more useful as two separate packages:
Font icon package (Font Awesome)
Media icon package (maybe just include a font icons with the media icons)
Then you are still able to use FA icons in a project without adding the extra media types (or you need to remove them if you don't want to use that feature).
On the other hand you can also use the Media Icon without all the extra icons if you don't need them in your project (or prefer another font-icon package).
Finally it would great if you could extend with you own icons for a file extension (or combine multiple for same icons, e.g. video files or audio files to use same icon). It seem I can do this if I add a new media type and give it an alias like File-{Extention} e.g. File-Mp4 ... there existed one for Movie, but it didn't cover .mp4
I am not sure if there are cases, where you need to add specific properties that not all File media types contain, but if you could end up with many Media Types.. and maybe some challenges to use same icon for multiple media types without creating a media type for each extension?
Maybe an alternative could be to use a config file where you specify which extension it should match and the which font icon and color to use. And then only have the default File media type.
Maybe split into two packages

Hi Bjarne, Thanks for the feedback!
I was thinking about spliting them into two packages out as I was packing it.
I'll also look into including some kind of configuration and perhapps a dashboard when I have some time.
