Are there any plans to make this Image Cropper part of the core code as a default datatype?
This is because I would love to use this datatype in my CWS package without having a dependcy on another package.

As announced on CG09 the Image Cropper will be part of Umbraco v4.1. In fact, it has already been added to the 4.1 branch on Codeplex :-)
