Hi, I install v 1.4 from repository, (umbraco 4.7, sql CE) but Import media isnot in tree menu. I also install AutoSort before and it's comand is in tree menu).
I check config file and try restart iis, what else I should check.
Anything in the logs? Can you confirm the config file has been installed and is present in the config directory? I will see if I can setup an instance of 4.7 with SQL CE today and have a try myself. Any other packages installed or just the two you have mentioned?
Config file is in it's place. There are about ten packages installed (mostly from repository). Maybe also media icons package can have impact on media section.
If you wish I can send packed solution with sqlce db.
Here is a screencase of an earlier version of the package that I hope clarifies roughly what the pacakge does or is intended to do http://www.screenr.com/uBh
As I said previously I've not tested it yet in 4.7.x but if you have an empty tree I should probably ask if you have added any directories to your config file? See the following snippet from the package download page:
Once installed you will find a file called importMedia.config in your config directory where you can add your chosen import directories in the following format:
I guess it depends on your interpretation of the name. To me I am importing existing Media into the Umbraco Media Section. I'm not sure what functionality you were looking for but sounds more like a tool for uploading large files to Umbraco which was the purpose for creating this package in the first place - to get aorund timeouts and file size limitations imposed by the application settings.
New item in menu is missing

I install Log Manager but it don't return any results, so I don't know if anything is in logs :-( Maybe it's related to this post http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/log-manager/using-log-manager/7022-No-logs-showing-up I will try it later today.

If you want to send it to me simon (at) prolificnotion.co.uk I will take a look for your Petr.
Cheers, Simon
Hmm, after notebook restart, import media is here :-)
Thanks Simon
Great news, please don't forget to vote for it if you find it useful! :)
I am not getting anything in the media hierarchy either.
Restarted the server and nothing. Have left the default install folder as it is.
I am I supposed to get a new node or dashboard or something.
Umbraco 4.7.1.1
Thank you.
I don't think this has been tested in 4.7.x yet. What you should get is a new context menu item.
Ahh found it.
Sorry mate but this is a bit daft. I didn't any any media in the folder and had to create one to see the right click option. Is that right?
Now I get a dialog box asking me to browse the files on a server but no tree.
Does this package only copy from a server location? Perhaps I have got the wrong end of the stick!

OK Thanks.Simon.
I misunderstood. I thought this tool was a media importer. Its not. Its a meda mover. You have to have imported the media to your server first.
Thanks for taking the time to put me right.

Fair play Simon.
Found "File Upload" which does the job I want.
Thanks for your time.
