Hi, importing into media is really slow, even I do everything on localhost. Also handling deep structure of folders is buggy. Can you add link to sources please.

Not experienced the slowness personally, certainly not on localhost and even on server importing a 500mb video file is snappy.

When you say "buggy" can you provide more details to help try and resolve any issues you might be having?

Check the project page for the relevant link to source.

    Buggy:

I try to import deep (3 level of folders), but it imports all folders into first level of deep.

Maybe slowness can be caused by combination with my own ActionHandler (used for filesystem structure). I check it in debug mode.

    Thanks

Hi, I investigate it more, and find out that slow import is caused by DAMP Media AfterChange event, but it looks like "corrupted" umbraco installation.

Glad you were able to locate the source of the problem. I couldn't really understand why the import media would be slow as it is mainly just moving files.

What does the DAMP Media AfterChange event do that is causing costly delays?
