hmmm, somethign interesting on 4.5.2 site

so, i added this to another site... and all of a sudden no graphics load in the backend - from an icon standpoint...

almost like it is trying to apply the logic to all items, not just tree items... any thoughts?

Hmmm, I can't see why there would be a problem, I built it against a 4.5.2 install.

If you take the DLL out the bin does the site work again? (TheOutfield.UmbExt.MediaIcons.dll)

I'd re-check folder permissions, and clear your ClientDependency cache (Also try incrementing the id in clientDepency config file)
