    Kraken.io not working

    Hi Forum.

I am looking to use kraken.io to optimize all my images.

I run the plugin and everything seems to work just fine. The images are optimized, the original files are saved underneeth and the compressed images paths match the ones in the code.

However... When i run different kind of speed tests, it looks like not a single image has been compressed, and also when i download the images directly, they are still in the old quality.

What could i do to solve this issue?

    Best regards.

    Hi Magger,

    thanks for using our package.

    Can you give us maybe a bit more info;

    • which version of Umbraco are you using?
    • any special packages installed?
    • maybe a screenshot of a optimized media item in Umbraco (especially the tab called "Image optimizer" on the media item).

    Thanks, Jeffrey

    Hi Jeffrey.

Yes ofc, sorry for not providing the needed information at first.

The site where im trying to implement the package is here: maggerit.dk/

    Info:

    • Version 7.5.2
    • Packages installed: Forms, url tracker, cultiv sitemap, rankOne

    media section

I have tried all the different settings. with and without original, and with and without autimatic compression. Somehow when i compress a image, and then downloads it, it is still the same size.

Hope this information is more helpfull.

I'm having the same issues with Umbraco 7.6.1. You upload an image and it's not optimized. Even manually trying to optimize doesn't seem to work. The page just refreshes after clicking it.

@Jon: I've looked into this issue and the problem appears to be in the Umbraco Media API. See the related Umbraco issue: http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-9904

@magger: I've unfortunately not had the time yet to check up on your problem, but have you had any success in resolving the issue with your website?
