    Our.Shield Media Protection

Does this only allow authenticated users to access the media, or can it also block based on the referrer url of the request? Meaning a page hosted on the same server is doing the request for the image? (blocking hotlinking without requiring authentication)

    Hi John,

The Media protection has both options, which can be independently switched on or off.

    So to repeat:-

    1. You can selective decide that only logged in members can view your media items AND/OR

    2. Block access to media items from third party websites using referrer Url - eg. Block Hotlinking

You get both features for free.

    Cheers

    Jonathan
