We recently tested the Umbraco 8.7 Block List Editor where it's possible to have one data type that holds all element types with multiple groups/tabs.
Are you planning to implement something similar?
Currently we have to move all element type properties into the same group/tab since it's only possible to pick one group/tab in the Nested Content data type.
It would be nice to have separate groups/tabs for the editor experience.
There are no plans to diverge from Nested Content, our package really is an extension of Nested Content but rendering the editors inside the block, data storage etc is all based on their code. So we cannot simply change something fundamental like that. Nested Content only allows 1 group in a datatype so we have to follow that too.
