I just uploaded an image with Ø in its name and Umbraco replaced it with an underscore. That is in version 4.7.1 though.
Also it should not matter what you call the media item in Umbraco. What matters is what the file you upload is called. So if you upload a file called "jordbær.jpg" (and the 'æ' doesn't get replaced like in my case) then that might cause Pixlr problems.
Using æøå in media title causes Pixlr not to load image
Not even renaming it to a title without æøå is not working,
i need to create a new media item, and name it without æøå, and then reupload image.
anyone had this problem. ???
Hi Bo,

Hi Bjørn,
That is exactly what happened here.
if i name the media item "jordbær", then it does not work.
the otherway around works fine, if naming the file "jordbær", and the mediaItem "strawberry" no problems.
But if its the other way aorund it does not load into Pixlr. ??? ie the æ in Jordbær
even if i rename the mediaItem, it still dont work,
and its v4.7 not 4.7.1, is this fixed in 4.7.1 ???
Hi Bo,
You are absolutely right. I have fixed the problem and updated the Pixlr package. You can download the package here 1.3.1 http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/pixlr
If you could tell me if it works that would be great, thanks.
Cheers
Bjørn
