using Poloyglot with nested document types

I am trying to get Polyglot to work with nested document types, but when I right click on a node to translate with nested document types, the properties for the node all show up, but none of the content within the properties is copied over if the properties are inherited from a document type higher in the tree.  Is this by design? Thanks!

    Hi Tyler,

I am sorry for the delay, but I have been off the web for a while...

Indeed this must be a bug. I have only used the Polyglot package with translation document types that have do not inherrit properties. I will try to provide a version that resolves the issue as soon as possible. It's not difficult to fix.

In the meantime, I don't know if you would like to just use document types without parents, or perhaps modify the source code yourself? Sorry for the inconvenience...

    Best regards,

    Dimitri

    Hello again Tyler,

I have now published a version of the package that also copies properties defined in the parent document type. Officially I am keeping it in "beta" status.

You can find both editions of this version (xslt and razor) here: http://polyglot.codeplex.com/releases/view/89281

If you decide to try it out, could you please let me know if it works well for you?

    Best regards,

    Dimitri

    Dimitri,

Thanks for the reply.  Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I am now able to work more heavily on this project and have installed the beta.  I'll let you know how well it works.  I'll be testing throughout the next few weeks.  So far so good!

    Regards,

    Tyler
