7.5.5 Support - Installing current kit broke the Umbraco Installation

We are interested in this package. We have been looking for a better solution than our own in house addition of adding an SEO tab with a page editor where we have Title, Description and Canonical Override fields.

Today we tried installing this package at the start of a new project after installing Umbraco 7.5.5 and our install crashed hard. We just started over. Any chance you are recompiling for the changes so we can try it out?

    Thanks.

Hi Glen, I haven't tried installing it in 7.5.5 but going to try it out as soon as possible.

Did you install it through the package repository installation or through uploading a local package?

    Kind regards

So I tried to find v7.5.5 but I can't find it. Are you sure you aren't using 7.5.2?

I upgraded my personal site to 7.5.2 and installed the latest version of rankone and everything is working as expected.

What kind of crash/error did you experience?

    Kind regards

You are correct. I made a typographical error and 7.5.2 is the current version. After having a closer look at the functionality that you have built, I am really wanting to make sure that we get this working.

We have the URL Tracker, ImageGen and Font Awesome packages installed as well on this test project. When we just tried it again while I was writing this post and it seems to have installed fine but the behaviour is odd when we go to initialize. It gives the progress dots and then shows the screen with the Initialize button again. enter image description here

But then after changing browser tabs in preparation to reinstall Umbraco and start again, we came back to see that it completed. Perhaps there is just something not quite right with the way that the Initialize code is finishing off?

Thanks for the extra feedback and sorry for responding this late. I'm going to do a fresh install tonight and see if I run into any errors.

Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce the issue. I did a clean Umbraco install and installed the package from the package repository. After initializing everything worked as expected
