When linking text and you choose a media item to link to, like a pdf, the href is removed from the tag when published. If you just paste in the path to the pdf it stays.

I just opened up a issue on the problem over on GitHub. Hope thats ok :)
For me the a tag an href remain. But the content gets replaced with a #
