I am evaluating Spindoctor for a client who is very interested in what it can add into Umbraco but I am having an issue with the install and need a little help. The install completes without errors but Spindotor does not seem to have installed completely. There is a new section created in the back office but the Spindoctor icon seems to be missing. What appear to be the base Spindoctor trees nodes are in the new section but when you click on any of them there are no editors just blank pages. I looked in the App_Plugin directory and a folder for Spindoctor has been created but other than a manifest file the directory is empty.
I was installing Spindoctor 3.0.2 on Umbraco 7.2.4 with the CE database. Any idea what the issue could be? Thanks for any help in advance.
I figured out how to get the license applied. The domain in the browsers URL needs to match the the domain that you submitted to get the license key exactly. i.e. if you entered mydomain.com when registering your license on the Spindoctor site then you need to use http://mydomain.com/umbraco/#/Spindoctor when you access the Spindoctor admin from the Umbraco back office. No subdomains like WWW or STAGING. Seems that appling a license does not like subdomains, bug?
First time I have tried Spindoctor so I have not tested any of the features yet to see if this subdomain issue also happen when doing targeting on the frontend. According to the Spindoctor registration form, subdomains should not be an issue.
Install Issue with 3.0.2

Hi Jason,
please try this fix:
Step 1:
Download these files from your installation using your web browser:
/App_Plugins/Spindoctor/backoffice/SpindoctorTree/attributecomponents-editor.html
/App_Plugins/Spindoctor/backoffice/SpindoctorTree/attributecomponents-prevalue-editor.html
/App_Plugins/Spindoctor/backoffice/Resources/bootstrap-slider.js
/App_Plugins/Spindoctor/backoffice/Resources/Spindoctor.js
/App_Plugins/Spindoctor/backoffice/Resources/slider.css
/App_Plugins/Spindoctor/backoffice/Resources/Spindoctor.css
And place them on the exact physical path that you see.
You will need to create 3 directories: backoffice, SpindoctorTree and Resources.
Step 2:
After that remove the contents of this folder: App_Data\TEMP\ClientDependency
Step 3:
Recycle the app pool and hard refresh the page.
Did this solve the issue?
Cheers,
Wouter
Yes that seems to have resolved the issue. Is this an issue with the install package or is this part of the install process?
I am now having a new issue. I tried adding a new licence in the back office but I keep getting this error:
DOMAIN NOT SAVED: License information is NOT VALID.
Is the license required for the free edition?

Hi,
This was an error re-introduced in v3.0.2.
Just released version 3.0.3 fixes this issue.
