Seems like you are working on a version 7 compatiable tag manager :-)
Do you by chance have any idea on when it will be ready?
I totally understand if you cannot promise anything. I might win some time with customer though, so I have to take a decission if we should wait or find an alternative solution?
Tell me if we can contibute in way by testing fx. :-)
Yes I am working in updating Tag manager to be V7 compatible.
I have made a start on it, but cannot confirm when it will be ready - I am working on it as / when I am able. I have a full time day job, and also a 5 week old son, so my spare time is currently very limited, and also sleep deprivation doesn't help the concentration levels.
I do appreciate your offer of assistance. Currently I have the tags loading in a custom tree, however have not yet developed the functionality to edit tags, move tagged nodes to another node, etc. This is all new in V7 using Angular JS and so this is a bit of a learning curve. From the little I have read this aspect has proven a challenge for a few people.
So if you were able to assist, then the Angular JS / views would be what is currently needing worked on. Let me know if this is something you can help with.
I was about finished the build - the only task left is to do was get the delete functionality working.
However, now that I check the my dev site the custom tree is not loading at all in the admin area.
So I am more than happy to bundle the project up with dB and provide a link for downloading, but feel I should get the tree working again first. Very frustrating that (a) it was working fine, and (b) I haven't used a repo to enable me to step back through the recent code changes to identify what has changed.
Drop me a note at [email protected] and I can email you when I've restored the tree and you might be able to help get the delete functionality wired up.
Regarding the issues you're having figuring out how to get deletion to work I don't know if you have seen that the AngularJs workbook used at the workshop at CodeGarden 14 has been released on GitHub?
I don't know unfortunately - I'm a frontend developer so what I've done using the API's and C# is very limited. Never had to trigger the delete method. Just thought that you could perhaps benefit from this somehow :)
Version 7
Hi
First I came across the tag manager, and then I came across this topic: http://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-7/developing-umbraco-7-packages/50103-Custom-Section-Headings?p=0

Hi Nigel
Great to hear the version 7 is in the works.
Would you be able to share whats the available right now, i.e. loading of tags in the tree - so we can chip in where we can?
Cheers!

Hi Nigel
Regarding the issues you're having figuring out how to get deletion to work I don't know if you have seen that the AngularJs workbook used at the workshop at CodeGarden 14 has been released on GitHub?
It has a delete exercise, which you can see here https://github.com/umbraco/AngularWorkbook/blob/master/Exercises/Exercise7.md
Hope this can help.

Hi Jan
Thanks for your post - I will certainly refer to the link provided.
One question tho...
In pre V7 there is the MenuItemCollection method where you would add a delete option.
With V7, is this no longer applicable, and only handled via the front end as such ?
How is the "delete" option added to the top right corner of the individual view in the admin area ?
Thanks
Nigel

Hi Jan
All good - I definitely appreciate the input - that is what makes Umbraco community so good - I have had a huge amount of help over the past 5 years.
Looking forward to finishing this wee upgrade so other members can use it.
Take care.
Nigel
How is it going with the V7 version? :)
Hi Soren
Have just started packaging it all up ready for an initial release. :-)
Fingers crossed it is uploaded within the next couple of days.
Cheers
