Error: This extension not supported. You can tinify only PNG and JPG files

    Hi,

I know there is a question about this error before: here. But I think I figure out the reason.

There are 2 ways to upload an image in Umbraco:

    • The first one: Directly upload an image: Compress Successful

    enter image description here

    • The second one: Upload image using Media Type: Error, can't compress

    enter image description here

Could you please help me with the solution to fix this?

One more thing, is there any differences about compressing between 2 kinds of uploading images?

    Thanks, Phong.

    Hey Phong,

Is this when you are using a custom media type it fails?

I didn't write or work the package but I have a fork of it so may look at fixing it and doing a pull request

    Hey,

We released a new version where your issue is resolved. By the way, we support custom media types if they have "umbracoExtension" property and valid extension.

Please, read more about current (1.3) version on our blog.
