Tinifier replaces the original image with the optimized image from https://tinypng.com/. So now Its not possible to undo tinified image, because we didnt face this problem before (fucks up the image).
But Its an interesting feature and Ill add this to our backlog to Tinifier 1.5.
Can anyone tell me what the status is of an undo function?
Would be great if you can restore an image to the original one. I wouldn’t mind if the original file is stored in the same folder (disk space is not a big issue). Maybe you can make this as an settings option.
For me, the lack of this option, keeps me from using this package.
I would have a big problem when an image is not the quality what is expected. You then have to manually replace all files. In a next Tinify action, they will be overwritten by the non-accepted variant. Is this assumption is correct?
Maybe we can add a property to an image telling it not to replace it with a Tinified image.
Tinifier V1.6 released and it contains Undo Tinify feature.
Please provide a feedback if you are satisfied or not after working with it.
For Undo now you have an option on Settings page. You should select option Undo Tinify to True -> Save. After that you can Tinify image and Undo Tinify it.
Just to make sure that you selected this setting to True before tinifing.
Undo Tinify ?
Sometimes when using Tinifier, it really fucks up the image. Like this: Look at the banding in the background
When it should look like this;
Is it in any way possible to undo the tinier process, for a single image when you're optimising on upload ?
