A client of ours is having issues with translation manager, DocTypeGridEditor and NestedContent.
NestedContent fields are not being mapped correctly when importing translated xliff files, it appears to be a field index problem as content is being updated 1 ahead, for example field 0 in the source is updating field 1 when imported.
We have validated the translated xliff files are correct an content exists in the correct field.
Are you aware of any issues using DocTypeGridEditor and NestedContent with Translation Manager ?

there have been a couple of issues that have been fixed with the indexing inside nested content, in a later releases
https://jumoo.co.uk/translate/releases/2.4.2/ and https://jumoo.co.uk/translate/releases/2.4.3/ both have fixes for nested content and its order/indexing.
I think if you upgrade to the latest version that should help fix the problems your seeing.
