XLIFF Import: No Matching items found in the file.

    Hi!

Using the Xliff connector with a third party translation agency, and when importing their edited file back to Umbraco, I'm receiving the error message below:

No Matching items found in the file. This file may not be for this Translation Job (344)

I know that this is the correct job, as it's the only one we have submitted.

The file is in .sdlxliff format. Is this supported?

What other factors could cause this error, and how can I resolve it?

    Many thanks, David.

    Hi David,

yah SDLXIFF isn't supported (it's a proprietary not open standard format).

but as far as I am most if not all the products that generate SDLXIFF files do all generate standard XLIFF files as well.

It is also worth noting that the translation jobs are transactional and have internal Ids that need to be maintained in the file for the resulting job to be found.

This normally doesn't matter or show to anyone involved in the translation as they are part of the metadata in the XLIFF file.

but it does mean you can't for example loads up the file from one job into another even if it's for the same content page, because underneath that content may have changed, and we are tracking it for each job.
