the main reason is the age of the Dictionary section in umbraco :( at the moment it's a bit old and hard to extend (with the send to buttons). It is currently on the roadmap to be updated (http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-5683)
but it looks like that will be 7.8 only, so I might be looking to back port something - it's not actually to hard to get the XML for the dictionary items out (uSync will actually do this for you) but it won't be in a format to pass onto a translator just yet./
so i suppose short answer is i was going to wait for the core to be updated, but now i think i might skip that, and put something in for an upcoming release (next month prob)
Dictionary support
I saw the presentation on this at the UK Festival. I'm sure you mentioned that this does not support the Dictionary, but can't remember the reason.
So, if it doesn't support Dictionary items now ... is there a chance it will in the (near) future?
We are making use of Vorto for our multi-lingual sites, but still use the dictionary for a lot of the "non content" text.

Yes, I remember now!
The product is impressive as it is now, but if it could also deal with Dictionary items, well .... ! :-)
Hi
Dictionary support is now in version 1.1.2 - released just now :)
Under the translation manager settings section, there is a dictionary option
and from there you can walk through the process to send items for translation
Awesome! :-)
is working on a reply...
