    Installation Problem?

    Hello,

I am attempting to install the uComponents package in my Umbraco 4.5.1 installation and everything goes well, it tells me it installed and I see it in my installed packages list, but none of the datatypes are available to me.  Expanding the data types folder in the Developer section doesn't show any of the uComponents data types I would expect to see.  I am able to confirm that uComponents.Core.dll exists in my /bin folder and I see the package definition in /App_Data/packages/installed/installedPackages.config but otherwise there's no indication that anything was actually installed.  Performing an iisreset doesn't help, either.  Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Try creating a new Data Type, enter a name - then scroll down the list to see the available uComponents data-types.

If you still can't see any of them, let us know.

    Cheers, Lee.

Ah ha, I was just confused as to how it worked -- I historically have used the TreeMultiPicker from Marco Lusini, so I was used to the datatypes appearing in the list.  I just did what you suggested and now I see them.

    Thanks!
    Matt

No worries Matt.  We didn't make any assumptions on which of the data-types people wanted to use - hence why we didn't auto-create them. :-)

I did some screencasts for a few of the data-types, feel free to take a look. http://screenr.com/user/leekelleher

    Cheers, Lee.
