    Compatible with 4.0

Hey I hope this isn't a stupid question but is this package backwards compatible with pre 4.5 umbraco instaltions? I'm assuming not but thought I would check. It would be awesome to use the multiple date usercontrol but I dont have the budget to upgrade my previous instaltion.

    many thanks

Sorry to disappoint you, I've just tried installing this on 4.0.4.2 and none of the datatypes are showing up, nor can they be created.

    Thanks Sebastiaan,

I thought that would be the case. Thanks for checking it out for me!

No problem! By the way, upgrading could be quite painless and take you only 10 minutes, I've done upgrades that fast, but it really depends on what packages you have installed and if they're 4.5 compatible. If they are, just enable the legacy XML schema after the upgrade and it should be smooth sailing..

    Hi Lachlann,

uComponents was designed and built to work with Umbraco v4.5 (and above) ... as we try to utilise the latest code-set and practices.

If it's only the Multiple Dates data-type that you want, it might be possible to extract that code from the uComponents code-base (from CodePlex) and try to compile it against the Umbraco v4.0.x DLLs.  I doubt there is anything overly complex going on in that specific data-type.

Personally, I'd recommend upgrading to v4.5.2 (current latest version) ... so many improvements! But I understand your budget constraints.

    Cheers, Lee.
